Decent trading again today, thankfully read $GBSN properly, which made my day.
Trades:
$LIME took a gamble here when it dropped 10% and triggered SSR at the open; didnt work, cut it for -$50
$GBSN - low float pump, bought some on a dip, thinking it will squeeze early shorts; so sketchy i sold on the first big pop; got back in on a dip, looked like a bullflag, didnt stop out at my stop, instead added lower thinking they're trapping shorts; worked out in the end, though would have been wiser to stop out and pick up shares lower instead of averaging down;
$REPH shorted after it spiked, small due to liquidity and spread; +20c on 250sh
$NVGN on a dip; didnt work
$VBLT on 60min speculation; played it small and safe
P&L:
Decent, patient trading today, +338; being around when news hit on $OREX and $CRR was useful, always helps on slow days to have a few easy winners
Trades:
$CNAT not my finest entry on first trade but it worked, out, second trade was half size, much better entry but showed less patience with me winner vs my losing position on the first trade ...
$CNAT again - poor initial entry, nice add
$REPH held some short o/n, covered for .50c
$WGBS bought tiny on news, didnt work out
$WGBS got back in lower, made back the loss from earlier, nice adds on dips
$CORT 5.60 risk; was patient but didnt get the crack
$OREX on news
$CRR on news, only 100sh
$OTIV chase, I like the daily chart though, will cut quickly if goes against me (or on pops); nice hod (so far) sell
P&L:
Decent trading, really messed up $VBLT, had the right idea, lacked the conviction ... overall down on it instead of being up nicely; was really a lay-up play given how everyone were so short biased; I just took big size (realtively) on the first trade, which set me back a few hundreds; made back 2/3s later, but still very disappointing
Trades:
$BLRX quick flip on news, bought 2.36 sold 2.49 and 2.62 +180
$ONCY on news - didnt work, -80
$CBMG
$HQCL blarg, looked like it was breaking out on the daily, not enough vol to play really
$ATHX sold remaining $3 calls
$MEDL missed some more downside (last time i looked it was .16) big bids at .20 put me off
$ORMP shorted calls yesterday (only 3 contracts), covered into the am wash; had a bad avg so didnt make anything; bought them again on a pop and sold into a wash later
$VBLT looked like a higher low - messed it up; rebought later
$VBLT again
$REPH got squeezed a little but it worked out ok; had 10 as risk and was looking to exit on a big wash like it had done a few times today; filled some on the wash, then it bounced 70c on a big buy ... tough one to trade
$RADA started into it when it looked like finally broke support, wanted to add on a bounce to vwap; and did.
$VBLT again - poor entry, but didnt sell on a mini-wash as it's been doing that over and over; sold on a pop
P&L:
Some poor trading today, again not adhering to my rules, traded too many tickers out the gate, turned losers into bigger losers ... worse trades were $VCEL where I didnt stop out where I planned to.
Worked really hard to make $$$ on $ORMP and lost $250 on a stupid $VCEL trade ... that's why trading is hard, that's why I got to cut losses quicker
Other than missing on the BIG moves $ORMP, am happy with the way i traded, only one losing trade out of 6-7 on it today
+374 - will work tomorrow on NOT making silly trades out the gate and cutting losses quickly, today should have been a $500+ day
Trades:
$DGLY first entry chase, second was ok - didnt take small profits when had them, and didnt stop quick enough
$ORMP holy crap - it ramped $2 from where I bought ... I only scalped it
$ORMP chased back in, added on dip, and held is it seemed to have held nicely, waiting for a pop to exit; it did indeed pop, nice setup there, could have been more patient with first entry and it would have made it a great trade;
argh as I write this it spiked 50c; on the other hand, I could have sold it for a loss there as well so one shouldn't complain
$VCEL - chase entry, didnt respect stop ... trade set me back $250 for nothing
$ADXS on news, could squeeze ; sold 2/3 into the squeeze rest i was too patient with; way to go selling top and bottom
$ORMP again on this bullflag setup
$ORMP again, this time it held .80s and breaking out of lower highs formation; plan was to sell up to the vwap line
$NEON i like the setup on the daily, took some 3.36; sold half when it dropped under 3.30, but then it bounced right back; sold some into that push, then rest for a loss;
$NPTN overextended on the daily, forming head and shoulders intraday; took most off around 7; alas covered much when it was testing vwap and seemed to have held; good thing though I added to a winner for a change on the way down
$ORMP again, chased thinking a vwap break and run; this was my one losing trade on ORMP, deservedly so
$CALA small position on breaking this lower highs trend; didnt give it enough time to work
$ORMP again - could really squeeze now it's above vwap; big offers at 7.40 scared me out of most of the position
$NPTN reshorted on a bounce; would have been nicer had i held some of the original position, but recognised this could go lower so have to content with the lower average; covered on a mini-wash, and re-added on a bounce. Then covered half again at lod, and then again
$ORMP
$SGNL a bit of a chase, looking for retrace back to vwap; got it
$ATHX sold some of the calls i've held for a week or so
$FNJN on news
P&L:
Nice day thanks to $RADA, otherwise decent patient trading, with the exception of $CORT where I messed the entry up every time
+363
Lessons:
- $RADA type plays to be afraid to chase and use bigger position size
Trades:
$CORT blarg - didnt have patience to wait for a pop; didnt take profits when i had them; at least i stopped out as planned; three times (facepalm).
$CAPN nice trade, bought on the dip, sold in bits on the rip; second trade was a chase, too far off bounce point, so I cut it; silly
$RADA bought on news, chased, filled half of what I wanted of this former runner low floater with big news ... need to learn to load up BIG on these types of plays, especially when I happened to be relatively early with this one
$CANF made a big mess of this trade - kept changing bias, eventually decided that it had a big run up into the news released this am, and it was stalling; 5.60 was key level, I went short anticipating it would fail to hold; covered along the way
$CAPN again
$RADA played it *small* a number of times, most times cut it even apart from the last trade
$CAPN again
$RADA again
$RADA and again
P&L:
