Sloppy trading today - didn't cut losers quickly ($BBRY $SNMX), didn't wait for the right setups either; overall just poor trading, coming off three great trading days I guess I need a little slap; finished up $100, but at 9:31 I was up $500 from my gappers so I consider it a crappy day
Lessons:
- Avoid spready thin stocks ($GBR)
- Don't take new positions between 12-1est in summer ...
Trade Highlights:
$FCEL+$142 held 2k o/n
$WSTI gapper - closed strong yesterday so I took 2k o/n +$300
$STEM -$132 - had a good long at the open, small size, then bought some on a dip, but trend didn't hold
$TREP +$138 was quick to buy, silly trade I just happened to get lucky, at least i only risked $500
$BBRY long 9.40, thinking it at least test 9.50 again, some serious resistance there on the daily so will give it a chance but wont stick around if it cant get thru; reached 9.44 before it pulled back, that pullback was the buy opp rather than the spot i bought, waited for it to climb back to b/e, didnt quite happen, sold on pops -$81
$SNMX not the best setup to go long, should have waited for it to consolidate first and should have cut it much earlier, it's as if i was asleep -$338
$BLDP anticipated a 4.30 break on PLUG weakness, not the best entry, went against me 4c before it broke under 4.3 again +$171
$GILD +$137 killer alert in IU chat
$GBR took some 4.90 with 4.80 risk for a $5 test; -$274 two problems with this trade, took it at around lunch time, so no liquidity and it was spread too; what seemed like support at 4.75 was snapped with a 15k sell all the way to 4.50. AVOID SPREADY THIN STOCKS
