Crappy trading again, too greedy, not obeying stops ... will use long weekend to review trades and see how I can improve; ended up in the green luckily thanks to some quick option plays.
$BLDP I didnt take profits at the open, wanted a doubler on the calls i had o/n, shoulda woulda taken the money out the gate, at least half, and then buy lower ... I seem to choose the wrong times to be patient with my winners ... at least I had a good read on it, saw how it was holding 2.75-2.80 so didnt sell them for breakeven, instead sold for a profit
$GENE just straight up good trading, however used small size on each trade
$LIVE just awful - should have been the "one trade" of the day and I managed to lose money on such a slam dunk setup with a good entry
$NTWK - I should avoid these low vol longs
Lessons:
- Just one session at a time, cut losses at designated stops with no deviation]
- When I'm long and expecting a short squeeze, don't sell all the position into the grind, save some for the actual squeeze
- Only long liquid stocks with a good familiar setup
Trades:
$LIVE messed it up badly, no conviction; just embarrassing; was short 4s and managed to lose on the trade
$BLDP I told the story above, also traded the commons with not much success
$BLDP I told the story above, also traded the commons with not much success
$CRIS with $3 risk and add o/n; had a good 1st trade on it, then gave it back on the second trade
$ANTH traded it even on the short, missed the long opp; took it later when it held 4; got out for even on that too
$NTWK this was just NTWKing from the start and I didnt cut it when i should have
$GENE long, a bit of a chase here
$GENE trying the long again, with more patience this time; and indeed I applied a bit more patience than usual, had a good read on it, but made the mistake i usually do which is sell into the grind instead of saving some into the squeeze/para
$MAR calls were a small loss
$CNAT shorted on bad news, took market some time to react; re-shorted when it came back to my original price
$GENE first buy was a bad chase, added lower, expecting it to burst to nhods; it didnt; until it did
$GENE this was on 100 shares I was so scared
