Trades 06/02/15

Well those gamble 10 $16 puts I bought yesterday have made my day, was a lose $300 to make $600-$900 and I took it, and it paid off; no skill involved other than piggybacking that big order someone else had made in those puts (could have been hedging or whatever else, but I assumed it was someone who knew something about the earnings ...)

Trades:

$GENE longed some in pre, expecting shorts to cover at the open .. should have followed the plan

$GENE again at the open, alas partial fill again

$EVRY good lesson there, I was in a hurry to catch this low floater, and missed out it was moving as it was being promoted and not for a legit reason

$GSB chased some, then picked some on a dip; didnt sell enough when vol dried; ended up panic selling before re-adding with 2.90 risk; just wasnt happening;

$GSB became short biased with 3 risk

$ATV another low float runner - sold half on a pop, rest for b/e

$QKLS was short o/n with 3.25 avg (it closed 3.06), decided yday not to take profits, thinking this will end up like $OHGI (another low floater that spiked and died); alas that wasnt the case, got squeezed all the way to 4; had conviction though that it's up on nada so added 1/3 position higher, and indeed it came back and managed to escape a disastrous trade ... once i was back to even i followed my rules (once im down a bunch on a trade and have a chance to get out even, i take it), however of course in this case more conviction would have made this into the trade i envisaged; Still, glad to not have covered at $4 for -$500  and instead make some money on this low vol and float turd

$SDRL was still hitting highs while oil was collapsing, so took a few s/s with tight stop
$GENE made a bad trade on it that erased today's profits, then made another one (this one) to bring it back to even
$ADES pissed off with myself, was going for the homerun trade ... had $150 of unrealised gains and i let them turn into a loss; this one is such a headache

    1. I'm just naturally more inclined to short than long ...
