Trades 14/04/15

Took some $CHOP o/n, sure it was overextended, but it held into the close, so looked like a gapper; Chinese stocks are lower this morning, so perhaps that's what making CHOP gap down. In any case, i'm done taking stocks o/n, unless it's day 1, otherwise too risky

So $CHOP was a disaster (twice now i lost $500 gapping it ...) , $CCCL however I played really well, with conviction and (relative) patience.

Later came $BLFS which put me in the green;

Up $262

Update: Added $100 to p&l on BLFS, ended the day up $367

Update 2: came back in the afternoon and traded some more, see below, added 350ish, ended up $700 on the day

Lessons:

  • Only o/n favourable setups, on Day 1 only!

Trades:

$BCLI in pre on news; my avg was pretty poor so got rid of it for just about b/e

$PRSN tiny position on news; will add if vol comes in and forms an uptrend; sold in pre as i was up 10c ish

$CCCL on news - traded it well, except i fat fingered a sell for entire rest of position at the 1.70s, so i re-entered at the same price, then added lower as I felt this would be today's runner. Didnt panic when it went against  me, and sold later into pops

$NPD short on china weakness

$BLFS on momentum; sold some into a pop and bought back lower; nice easy play

$CCCL again on a dip; tight stop; gave some back

$CCCL tried the long one more time on this perk

$CMRX on news, small position, quick flip

Afternoon trades:

$HNR missed the big move, bought some on the dip ... daiimn didnt expect it to bounce so hard so quickly
$HNR again, only 500 shares
$GBSN on VLTC PSTR poppage (three fuel each other) small position
$SZYM nice b/o on the daily at 4, with huge gap to fill; took the quick money into the pop
$NVGN bought on the dip; didnt stop out when i should have

$CHOP made about $150 on this trade, reducing my loss on CHOP today to just under $400
$BCLI perking above vwap, might run into the close; took half on the pop, half when it seemed to have lost steam

Afternoon trades
