Trades 04/12/13

Lessons:

• KNOWING WHEN TO TRADE SIZE ... $OCLS WAS TRENDING DOWN PRETTY MUCH FROM 10AM SO SHOULD HAVE BEEN MORE PATIENT AND AGGRESSIVE WITH MY SHORT POSITION, THIS IS THE KIND OF TRADE THAT PAYS THE BILLS FOR A MONTH

Overall good trading today, fewer silly trades, and while I didnt trade size or was patient enough I did have a few in/out successful $OCLS trades.
Worst trade came ... premarket. Tomorrow I will try to be better at resisting temptation.

$MCIG didnt take my sell at the open, ended up selling for a %5 loss
$SHPR %5 win


Longs: 1/2 (Down overall)

$ETRM r/r seemed too good - weak open, just took a starter, will add on grinding action; down to 2.08 from 2.40; 2 risk; bad trade, didnt cut losses quick enough, down 18c; it hit 1.90 and bounced right back to 2.20 and acted the way I had imagined; would have avoided had I waited until a few minutes from the open
$ABIO on grind highs of 1.80 in at 1.65 out 1.75, 1.79


Faders: 4/4

$OCLS again at 6.20 this time allowing a wider stop - only 100 shares; this has been on a downtrend since the open fading away; took 10c this time as I had to close the position before the drive home. Unfortunately.
$OCLS in again (at home) 5.83 with 6 risk and 5.50 and under target; shorted bigger than usual, covered 1/3 at 5.71; 1/3 when it spiked to 5.85; added 1/3 at 5.85 on the way down; covered 5.66, 5.52; 
$OCLS re-shorted at 5.75 with 5.80 risk, covered 5.30, 5.10
$CBK not the best setup but good r/r in at 6.98 with 7 risk looking for a quick scalp; covered 5.91 5.88 - love it when a trade goes to plan 

Grinders: 1/3 (Down)

$ABIO gave some back on what looked like a second round of grind and a move up; stopped out quickly for -2c
$OCLS can only blame myself, but entered a long position on a grind and got interrupted by a colleague at work ... cost me 50c on the trade; this hopefully shouldnt happen when I do this fulltime from home ...
$PLUG trying small for hod run on ABCD action; 1.14 with 1.10 risk 1.20+ target; sold 1.22, 1.25

$EPB trying tiny position at 36.75 with 36.50 risk and 37.25 target; out for b/e

Shorts: 6/7 (Up overall)

$VPCO on move from .9 and a g/r move at 1.97 covered 3/4 at 1.85 rest 1.90
$OCLS caught a quick short move from 6.72 to 6.36 ... on 100 shares

$OCLS again from 6.50 added 6.59 covered 6.30 with 200 shares
$OCLS again 6.44 covered 6.21
$OCLS gave it back chasing on the way down to 6, at 6.07 coverd 6.30. Trade didnt work as it was an emotional trade whereas the other 3 were rational.
$DRAM twice for 10c on 100 shares
$TNXP 100 shares on breaking key support level 7.75 covered 7.52
