I have this psychological block that if a stock is down 5% I get a serious itch to cover, and if it's 10% to cover all ... this is how I miss moves like $ADXS
I've seen it enough time to have the conviction to hold (while selling along the way) for the mini-homerun instead of leaving $$$ on the table, as this will adversely affect growing my account size.
That aside, good trading today, again traded $ADHD well
Lessons:
- Helps to GET TO KNOW the stocks you're trading (re $ADHD)
Trades:
$SCOK scalp long SCOK when it held 3 in pre for a quick 10c; a tad too soon, but you (I) can never tell with these, they could just fade right back, and given the chase I was happy with any profit at all
$ADXS was short o/n and held a few $10 puts, sold them all today
$SRNE - no bacon srne for me, tried a few times, didnt work
$ADHD added to swing short from yesterday, felt if $7 doesnt hold it could flush; nicely read, again
$EDAP added to swing short from yesterday, and closed it today
$NVAX hod risk; didn't like my entry, so cut it quickly; re-tried shortly thereafter; better trade 2nd time around ... though it wasnt a big enough position to hold for a long fade unfortunatley
$NVIV scummy otc so only 500sh, like the look of it for 2 mov; worked ok for almost a dime
$NXTD small 3.10 been resistance past few sessions; boredom trade, might revisit later
$AMZN played calls and puts tiny on that rollcoaster of a day it had had ... i should probably have grown bigger balls but i'd rather play price action than these type of scenarios;
$BBRY calls however didnt pan out so well on the new buyout rumours
$NXTD tried the long, partial fill on this nice setup; nice sells
$ADXS another tiny chase short
$FXCM trying on this break of lower highs trend
$FXCM and again
$SRNE - no bacon srne for me, tried a few times, didnt work
$ADHD added to swing short from yesterday, felt if $7 doesnt hold it could flush; nicely read, again
